In SSX Tricky, there are three modes of gameplay in which you may use, some of which may help you to practice and others of which you may compete. Tricky was released in 2001, a year after the original SSX.

It also expands on some of the more popular courses from the original SSX game. The game adds a number of new colorful characters and courses.
